Poetic Experiment
I’d like to assemble a manuscript by theft. Take one poem each from a range of modern poetry books of the type that strike me as interchangeably blah. Truly interchange them by taking this random sampling and randomizing the order of the poems within a manuscript that I’d then send out (with its previously published credits intact, because you know nobody’s double-checking those) under a pseudonym to various publishers to see if I could get it accepted. Withdraw it every time its accepted and just keep score.

Awesome idea Dan. It’d be cool if you enlisted a whole rogue network of poets who were OK with you using there work too as a variation.
Or with the original concept in mind, it would be neat to compile all the rejection, acceptance, and acceptance/decline documentation. Perhaps it could begin with an essay; an essay from and editor, critiquing the way manuscripts are accepted and rejected, etc. Perhaps the best person to take on this project would be an editor as they are familiar with the ins and outs of the publishing world.
