Drifter poetry

Put poetry in bottles or little boats and throw into the sea or rivers. Let it find a reader, if ever. There would be something very special and intimate about the relationship between writer and potrntial reader when the work had to survive in this way.

    Better: Hundreds of notes in hundreds of bottles and we can call it a dump!

    For the past couple of years, whenever I’m on an airplane, I’ve written poems (not my own) on the bound-in Subscription card in the airline magazine. Then I put it back. Nobody knows I do this.

    Well, except for now. And I’ll be looking for poetry in the airline magazines now - a welcome respite from the usual articles in there.
