Quoth the raven

Nevermore! It was supposed to be dark, soft brown. My hair, feet, and neck soaked it up and translated it into black. It will be days before I can pull it back because of all the sloppiness on my skin. Yay!

    Ah, the dangers of dark dye. It should quickly fade to that dark soft brown you desire. Reminds me that I need to henna my hair sometime soon - maybe before I head off to Australia next month. :-)
